DHSK, MD JKMSCL take stock of Covid-19 logistics in Kashmir division

Srinagar, June 08:(KNS) Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Managing Director Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL), Dr Yashpal Sharma and Director Coordination Medical Colleges J&K, Tuesday visited the JKMSCL Headquarter in Bemina and took stock of Covid logistics in Kashmir division.

 

A spokesperson of Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq along with the two officers jointly reviewed the status of drugs and equipment supply at Regional Drug warehouse in Bemina.

 

“They had a detailed inspection of the JKMSCL warehouse,” the spokesman said.

 

He said during the visit, General Manager, JKMSCL Dr Majid Mehrab apprised both the officials about the Covid logistics available with them.

 

Besides that they were informed that JKMSCL at present has buffer stock available with them and there is no shortage of any essential item.

 

JKMSCL has been distributing medicines and all Covid related logistics to all the hospitals of Kashmir division.

 

On the visit, the Director Health Services Kashmir directed all Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) to forward their requisitions in terms of Covid logistics to JKMSCL and all of their requirements would be provided at the earliest.

 

Furthermore the Controller of Stores Kashmir and district drug warehouse has been directed to supply the drugs in all health facilities and monitor its utility and placement in the concerned hospitals.

 

MD JKMSCL has further asked all stakeholders to ensure that Covid kits are available at all levels for Covid positive patients.

 

The meeting and inspection among others was attended by GM JKMSCL, Controller of Stores and other senior officers of JKMSCL and Health and Medical Education Department. (KNS)
