Jammu January 27:(KNS)  Continuing with its welfare initiatives to provide financial assistance to the NoKs of deceased police personnel/SPOs, the Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh has sanctioned Special Welfare Relief of rupees twenty eight lakh under two different orders of PHQ. He has also sanctioned meritorious scholarship of rupees fifty eight thousand in favour of thirteen wards of serving Police personnel.

 

 

 

Rupees twenty two lakh has been sanctioned in favour of NoKs of deceased HC Abdul Rashid, who passed away due to illness while in service. Similarly rupees six lakh has been sanctioned in favour of NoKs of deceased SPO Mohammad Ishfaq who passed away due to illness during the course of his engagement with Jammu and Kashmir Police. The amount has been sanctioned out of the Contributory Welfare fund

 

 

 

Meanwhile, meritorious scholarship of rupees 6000 each has been sanctioned in favour of 03 wards of serving Police personnel who have secured above 90% marks and rupees 4000 each has been sanctioned in favour of ten wards of serving Police personnel for securing above 80% marks in class 10th Annual Examination during the academic session of 2020-21. The amount sanctioned has been given out of the Central Police Welfare Fund.

 

 

 

Police headquarters under different welfare schemes is providing welfare relief/loan, financial assistance to all the ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police including the wards of martyr/deceased police personnel and SPOs.(KNS)
