Baramulla, February 28 (KNS): The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat (IPS), on Saturday inaugurated multiple new police infrastructure projects in Baramulla district and chaired a high-level security review conference at Tangmarg, as per KNS.
The DGP inaugurated three newly constructed buildings at Police Station Gulmarg, including the SHO Residence Block, the Mess and Barracks Block, and the Transit Accommodation Block. The facilities are aimed at improving residential and transit accommodation arrangements for police personnel posted in the area.
He also inaugurated new buildings at the newly established SOG Camp Baderkote under PS Tangmarg. The camp is expected to augment security arrangements and enhance operational efficiency in the region, which is fast emerging as a prominent tourist hotspot.
The inauguration ceremonies were attended by Spl DGP Coordination J&K S.J.M. Gillani (IPS), IGP Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi (IPS), DIG Central Kashmir Range Srinagar, DIG North Kashmir Range Baramulla, SSP Baramulla, and other senior officers.

Interacting with officers and jawans, the DGP stressed the importance of strengthening infrastructure and welfare measures to boost operational efficiency and morale. He appreciated the efforts in completing the projects and reiterated the commitment of the J&K Police to the modernization of police establishments across the Union Territory.
Later, while chairing a Security Review Conference for District Baramulla at Town Hall Tangmarg, the DGP reviewed the overall security situation and operational preparedness of the district.
He directed officers to adopt a strict and uncompromising approach against terrorists and their support networks, reiterating zero tolerance towards terrorism. Special emphasis was laid on ensuring robust security arrangements for tourists.
The DGP further stressed strong coordination, intelligence-based operations, and proactive policing to maintain peace and stability. Appreciating the dedication of officers and jawans, he urged all ranks to remain vigilant, disciplined, and mission-oriented. (KNS)
