Srinagar, Oct 28 (KNS): Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid on Saturday inaugurated e-challaning system for the traffic norm violators in Jammu and Kashmir.
DGP who was accompanied by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range, Munir Ahmad Khan and other police officials inaugurated the system her.

He said that besides traffic and transport department, it would provide benefit to the common people as well.
“The e-challaning system will directly deposit the challan amount in the account of department, which will help in transparency,” he said.
DGP also told reporters that the system is aimed to ensure transparency. “The commuter found violating the norms can pay the fine through his cards as well,” he said. (KNS)
