Emphasises upon young officers to strive for more learning about nuances of intelligence gathering

Srinagar, December 16 (KNS): The Director General of Police, J&K, R.R Swain today interacted with 28 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySsP) officers of 2020 JKPS batch at Police Headquarters, Srinagar in a meeting.

During interaction, the DGP asked the officers to share their learning experience of their probation period. He also advised them to share genuine as well as critical suggestions about the content and methodology they have learnt, which would be helpful in improving further Policing services.

The DGP emphasised upon young officers to strive for more learning about nuances of intelligence gathering which he said would be very helpful in shaping their profession. Stressing for leveraging quality and modern-day investigation techniques, the DGP said that it would be effective in dismantling the terror ecosystem besides control on law enforcement and crime. “Learn and grow in your profession, and you must know your law”, the DGP said adding that what matters most is the police's capability to confidently stop and catch someone breaking the law, ensuring they are properly dealt with and face consequences.

The DGP also shared his police working experiences in India and abroad. He wished all officers good luck for their respective careers.(KNS)
