Srinagar August 13:9KNS)   Director General, Horticulture Kashmir, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad, Bhat  (KAS) paid a surprise visit to various subordinate offices of the Department in District Kupwara. He took stock of daily routine work in the offices and stressed on accountability and transparency in work.

Besides, he reviewed the functioning of Departmental schemes and  urged on timely completion of walnut Nursery at Chandigam Kupwara and directed that work should be executed strictly as per  DPR. 

According to a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS)  Director General also visited Fruit Plant Nursery Chogal and  took stock of the preparations for establishment of Soil Testing  Laboratory. He was accompanied field functionaries of the  Department. He urged the concerned to mobilize all the resources  for early establishment of the Laboratory, in order to address long  pending demand of farming community of the area. 
 Later he visited the house of recently deceased  employee of Horticulture Department, Mr. Mohammad Akbar Salwati, and paid condolences to the family. He instructed CHO,  Kupwara for immediate process of the compassionate appointment  case under SRO 43. .
