Srinagar July 16:  (KNS)  Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (KAS), Director General Horticulture, Kashmir today convened a meeting at Directorate of Horticulture Rajbagh Srinagar.  NK Chadda, MD NAFED was also presented in the meeting. The meeting was also attended by Chief Horticulture Officers of Kashmir Division and representatives of private empanelled agencies.

According to a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), read, the meeting was held to discuss the smooth implementation of newly launched Modified High Density Scheme. At the outset of meting Director General Horticulture, Kashmir deliberated on the progress of the Scheme. He also took feedback from CHOs and private empanelled agencies.

He also stressed upon the private agencies to follow the PeQ protocol in letter and spirit and directed the CHOs for its implementation in their respective district. Speaking on the occasion MD NAFED assured full support of NAFED for making the scheme a success in the UT.

He also assured that a regional office of the NAFED will be opened shortly in Kashmir. In the end Director General thanked MD NAFED for participating in the meeting and stressed upon all the stakeholders to make this scheme a success.(KNS)
