Srinagar, Dec 17 (KNS): Director General, Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (JKAS), on behalf of Department of Horticulture and farming community of Kashmir congratulated Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganaie on his appointment as Vice Chancellor, SKUAST- Kashmir. 

While congratulating the VC, Director General hoped that the University will reach new heights under his able guidance. 

Director General said his appointment as VC is a sign of good omen for the university. 

He further added that Professor Nazir Ahmad possess right vision foresight and the courage to lead the University to another level of success. 

He added that the new appointment will strength lab to land approach. He hoped that the Horticulture sector will get special focus and area-specific needs and problems will be identified and scientific solutions will be developed and made available to the orchardists while taking due care of local needs, local resources, local knowledge and technology.
