Srinagar July 12:(KNS)   Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (KAS), Director General Horticulture, Kashmir today chaired a meeting at Directorate of Horticulture Rajbagh Srinagar. Among others HODs of Line Departments and
representatives of Banks attended the meeting.

In order to bring all the fruit crops under the ambit of crop insurance schemer, the Scale of Finance was revised/reduced. As such meeting was convened by Director General Horticulture Kashmir with allied Departments and Banks to recommend the measures to the Administrative Department which could address impact of reduction in the Scale of Finance (SoF). During the meeting all the Departments and banks put forth their suggestions regarding mitigation of impact of reduction in Scale of Finance.

In the end Director General Horticulture Kashmir thanked all the stakeholders and urged both the line Departments and financial Institutions to work in cohesion for the welfare of the farmers and to make the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojina (PMFBY) a success in the U.T. of J&K.(KNS)
