Srinagar, Apr 27 (KNS): The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Thursday condemned the state-sponsored terrorism on students and said the educational institutions have been turned into slaughter houses and forces given a free hand to use excessive force on children.
In a statement issued to KNS, DFP secretary general Moulana Abdullah Tari during last year's anti-India uprising, the so-called government used the whole state machinery to open schools and now by deploying forces in institutions are targetting the students.
He asked the police personnel to introspect as to whatever they are doing is morally and ethically right. "The students whom you are targetting are our own children and you are snatching their future," he said and slammed authorities for using excessive force against the students in Pulwama and Kupwara.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Tari also condemned the thrashing of a prominent pro-freedom personality Sarjan Barkati by police. He said Barkati was produced before a court in Shopian following which a police party present there took him to police station where Dy SP Aashiq Tak beat him to the pulp.
Condemning the beating of Barkati, Moulana said such oppressive measures won’t break the resolve of pro-freedom people. He also slammed authorities for arresting the Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Syeda Aasiya Andrabi. (KNS)
