Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNS): The Democratic Freedom Party on Monday paid glorious tributes to mujahideen who achieved martyrdom while fighting Indian forces in south Kashmir’s Awoora village of Pahalgam area.
In a statement issued to KNS, the party said though the martyrdom of our mujahideen grieves us but we have firm belief that the freedom of Jammu Kashmir will be written with their pious blood.
A party's delegation led by Moulana Sajad visited the residences of Shaheed Adil Ahmad Reshi, Shaheed Abid Ahmad Sheikh, Shaheed Masood Ahmad and paid tributes to them. They expressed solidarity with the families of all mujahideen and told them that whole nation of Jammu Kashmir equally shares the grief.
Extending the message of party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah to the bereaved families, the delegation told them that the nation is indebted to the sacrifices of martyrs.
Shabir Ahmad Shah addressed a huge public gathering telephonically, wherein he said," “It is due to these sacrifices of our martyrs that brought the nation and resistance leadership on a single platform and need of the hour is to take forward the movement in a unified manner.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe nation is rendering invaluable sacrifices and we need to stand like a rock against the anti-movement forces. “
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah has expressed condolence with JKLF vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat on the demise of his brother Akbar Nazir Bhat. Expressing grief over the demise, Shah said this family has rendered innumerous sacrifices for the freedom movement of Jammu and Kashmir.
A delegation led by Molvi Bashir Ahmad visited the bereaved family and expressed condolence and solidarity with them besides prayed for heavenly abode for the deceased.
One more delegation led by Er Farooq Ahmad Khan and Abdul Razzaq visited the residence of Hurriyat leader Desh Raj Sharma in Jammu who passed away a couple of days ago. They extended Shabir Ahmad Shah's condolence message to the bereaved family. (KNS)
