Srinagar, Oct 28 (KNS): Expressing strong resentment over the misbehaving of National Conference's Farooq Abdullah and his men with the women who had attended the Batengoo residence of Shaheed Zahid Rasool Bhat, the Democratic Freedom Party said the women folk had to face hooliganism and harassment at the hands of pro-India minister's men.
According to a statement issued to KNS, as soon as Farooq Abdullah reached Shaheed Zahid's home, the women present there expressed strong anger and resentment on his arrival and criticised him on-spot."Upon this, the Farooq Abdullah's men misbehaved and harassed the women including Zahida Akhtar, Najma and Atthar," a DFP spokesperson said.Justifying the protests by women, the spokesperson said it is due to parties like National Conference that our youth are being killed every now and then."The people have come to know about the real faces of these parties. They made it clear that they can't be befooled by the pro-India politicians and that J&K is not a property of any family," he said.
The spokesperson said NC must read writing on the wall that the freedom movement has been transferred to third generation who have infused a new life into the struggle.He said it is these parties who murder our youth and then add salt to our injuries.Condemning the Lathi Charge on women by NC leader's men, the DFP spokesperson said those who use force on people at condolence gathering can never be well wishers of people.
"Even Shaheed Zahid's sister was also injured in Lathi Charge by police," he said, adding that Farooq Abdullah had come there to show off his fake sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family and to score political points.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelOn the directions of DFP chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah, a delegation led by Muhammad Shafi visited Shaheed Zahid's home to assess the situation and express solidarity with the family.
The spokesperson while condemning the grenade attack on the Batamaloo residence of Late Moulana Abdul Rashid Tahiri last week said the cowards attacked the house of that personality who has sacrificed immensely for the propagation of Tawheed."Late Moulana Tahiri was the spokesperson of Tawheed and remained steadfast in his mission of fighting for Islam," he said.
Expressing solidarity with Moulana Tahiri's family, the DFP spokesperson said the perpetrators of this attack will have to get exposed before people some day.
A delegation led by Molvi Bashir Ahmad visited Batamaloo and expressed solidarity with the family.The spokesperson also expressed grief and anguish over the murder of a Sikh lady in Baramulla saying the murderers of the barbaric act must be given a severe punishment.He expressed condolence and solidarity with her family and said we equally share grief on this hour.
A DFP delegation led by Abdul Rashid Gilkar visited the bereaved family in a Baramulla. On the occasion, he said the increasing crime graph in valley since recent past is a matter of concern for everyone. He also demanded probe into the case by an impartial body.
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah talked on phone with the bereaved family and expressed condolence and solidarity with them. (KNS)
