Srinagar, Sep 21 (KNS): Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Wednesday condemned the police raid and ransacking of the residences of Freedom Party district president Pulwama, Mohammad Amin, and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Shopian, Mohammad Yousuf Falahi.
In a statement issued to KNS, a party spokesperson said the police atrocities are on its peak in these areas and people are harassed, humiliated, and beaten inside their homes and the properties are ransacked.
Condemning the ‘state-sponsored terrorism’ unleashed by authorities on people, the spokesperson said “a DO stationed at Bus Stand Islamabad has severely beaten a cancer patient Farooq Ahmad Ahangar who suffered four stiches. The said officer also vandalized several residential houses in the area.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
He also paid tributes to Shaheed Ajaz Dar on his 27th martyrdom anniversary saying the people of Kashmir are committed to take the martyrs’ mission to its goal.
Meanwhile, party’s incarcerated Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah and general secretary Moulana Tari have expressed grief over the demise of the mother of Late Mirwaiz Qazi Nisar and extended condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family. They also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
As such, a party delegation led by Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh visited the Qazi family in Islamabad and expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family particularly with Mirwaiz south Kashmir Qazi Yasir. (KNS)
