DFP condemns ban on APHC seminar, arrest of Moulana Tari

‘Terms it “frustration” of state Govt’

Srinagar, May 12 (KNS): Condemning the restrictions on the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) seminar and the arrest of several leaders of the amalgam, the Democratic Freedom Party (1DFP) on Thursday termed it the “frustration” of the state government.
A DFP spokesperson in a statement issued to KNS, while condemning the “autocratic” approach of the state administration said, “These people before coming to power make huge claims of democracy and freedom of speech and expression but after assuming power show their real face by resorting to worst kind of suppressive and undemocratic means.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
The spokesperson said that by curbing the freedom of speech, the so-called administration cannot break our resolve to fight for our rights. “We will continue our struggle for freedom at any cost. The so-called rulers eventually have to appear before the public court and answerable to their misdeeds,” he said.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson condemned the arrest of DFP general secretary Moulana Abdullah Tari by police. Tari had gone to participate in the APHC seminar at Hyderpora. “This arrest is unjustified,” he said. (KNS)
