DDO powers of I/C ZEO withdrawn as teachers demand action against concerned staff

Baramulla, Mar 31 (KNS): Even after a week of its release from Chief Education Office Baramulla, the slaries of teachers are yet to find its way to their accounts in Zone Wagoora, even if the all important financial year is drawing close. The negligence and unwillingness to work by zone authorities has not only stressed teachers but has also earned them humiliation for failing to pay loan installments and clear other debts. Sources told KNS that Chief Education Office Baramulla had released salary for all zones earlier this week, however teachers said that Zone Wagoora despite receiving the funds did not process the bills on time as in charge ZEO had preferred to visit outside state instead of passing the bills. The sources in CEO office Baramulla though said that the officer who is also DEPO had gone on official visit forcing the delay of salary disbursement.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHowever, KNS has learnt that the officer was very much in the state when funds were released but either the concernd staff did not prepare bills before he left or took the issue lightly. They added that the teachers kept waiting up-to Friday 30th of March, but their salary had still not been released even till late afternoon.
Meanwhile sources in CEO office Baramulla told KNS that the authorities have now withdrawn the DDO powers from the DEPO and accorded the same to Dy. CEO. The teachers however, have demanded action against the concerned staff of the zone who did not show any urgency in releasing the salary thus causing them inconvenience. (KNS)
