Terming the burning of flag bearing Kalima Tyba verse on it in Rajouri as extremely shameful, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah Wednesday warned that any kind of blasphemous act cannot be tolerated. He lashed out at administration over “falling in line with communal forces” and “not acting against the perpetrators of disgusting crime.”
“Instead, the administration resorted to use of force against peaceful protestors which makes it clear that it is controlled by communal zealots,” Shah in a statement issued to press said.
He expressed serious concern over the increasing conspiracies against the Muslims of Rajouri and Punjab region and demanded legal action against the elements involved in all such communal acts.

The deeds and actions of present political dispensation speak of itself how much dominant the Saffron brigade has become in Jammu Kashmir.”
Expressing solidarity with Muslims of Jammu region, DFP Chairman Shah vehemently condemned the use of brute force on innocent people, terming it ironic. “The administration by adopting biased approach in dealing with such matters is playing with fire which can invoke dire consequences.”
He also expressed concern over the reports of nocturnal raids, arrests and the consequent harassment of women by police and forces from various parts of the Valley including Srinagar City, Shopain, Kupwara, Islamabad and Pulwama, saying it has become a routine for the so-called government “to turn the whole Valley into a virtual jail.”
