Pulwama 25 April (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr. Raghav Langer today Convened a meeting to review the scenario of  Education related activities and progress of  Online  and e - learning courses being carried out by Education Department in the district.
The meeting was  attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama ,Awantipora, Tral, Chief Education Officer, District Education Planning Officer, ZEO’s  and other officials.
Chief Education Officer Pulwama apprised the Deputy commissioner about the online and  e-learning initiatives taken by the Education Department  for engaging the students in studies  while staying at their homes amid  lockdown. 
He said  Specially  designed study modules have been delivered through WhatsAppz  to all the students   to ensure students continue  ensure that students continue their education.
It was informed that there are 38 thousand students studying  in Govt Schools in the district, in which 14000 students are  getting classes through   various online  and social media platforms  where as 16000 students  have been provided  home assignments.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In addition Live tele classes are that are telecasted on DD Kashir and AIR Radio  , recorded   classes are   telecasted   through local Cable Network on Solace  Channel from 7:00 am to  10:00 am . Moreover Lecture series  through Facebook Live and YouTube  are also ensured on daily basis.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy commissioner urged  upon the  concerned officers to make every effort for the implementation of initiatives taken by the  Education Department regarding online classes for the students so that  the loss is compensated through these virtual media. DC  also directed ADC’s to conduct zonal level meetings with Private School owners and sought details of curricular activities and e-learning process initiated by them to the students .
He also directed them to  submit a report regarding the action taken by Private schools in this regard.
It is pertinent to mention that around 50000 students are enrolled in private schools in pulwama.
