Says through delimitation BJP will get majority in assembly, then they will pass resolution in favours of decisions taken on Aug 05, 2019

Srinagar, Feb 26 (KNS): National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Saturday said that the delimitation in Jammu and Kashmir has basically worked in favour of the BJP so that they could pass resolution in the assembly in favour of the decisions made on August 05, 2019z

Addressing a press conference at his Gupkar residence after PAGD meeting today, Abdullah said that the delimitation has worked just in favour of BJP so that they could get maximum number of seats in the assembly and they will be able to pass a resolution in the assembly in favour of the decisions made on August 05, 2019z

He said that the central government will then move the matter to the supreme court, where they will be able to defend the decision after passing resolution the J&K assembly. “Otherwise, what was the need of immediate delimitation in J&K when it was supposed to be carried out in the entire country in 2026,” he said.

Abdullah said that the way delimitation commission has drafted the report in a democratic setup is very unfortunate thing. “The parliamentary constituency of Anantnag has been merged with Poonch and Rajouri. How the member from Anantnag is going to look after the areas from Rajouri district or vice versa,” he questioned.

He said that where are those tall claims of the central government, wherein they had said that they want to bring the people of Jammu and Kashmir together and eade their difficulties.

“The way constituencies have been merged in the delimitation report, it seems that the issues of the people would not be solved instead will get compounded. The report has further alienated the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

He also said that they will fight elections without any doubt and they are not going to run away from it. (KNS)
