Chandigarh, March 23 (KNS): BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today expressed shock at the enormity of the hooch tragedy in Sangrur and said that it was result of liquor scam that has been going on in the state under the patronage of the AAP government.
While demanding a CBI investigation into the case Chugh said the Bhagwant Mann government has been playing with the life of the state people with it's lopsided liquor policy.
He said the Delhi's liquor scam has spread in Punjab also which is reflected in the Sangrur tragedy.
The way AAP government in Delhi has been running a liquor scam Punjab has also become it's victim. Chugh said the CBI should investigate the entire gamut of the liquor scam in Punjab.
Chugh demanded that compensation should be paid to the suffering families and responsibility for the tragedy be fixed on officers.(KNS)
