Srinagar, Jul 25 (KNS): Delhi Police on Monday foiled the protest march of Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) president and MLA Langate, Er Abdul Rashid and detained him along with scores of his supporters, when he tried to take out a peaceful march from Jammu Kashmir House, Chanakya Puri to the Prime Minister's residence, reports said.
Reports said that AIP leader said that Delhi Police had earlier granted AIP permission to hold a sit-in against the civilian killings, use of pellet guns and ‘oppression’ in Kashmir but the permission was withdrawn later.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that as soon as the protesters tried to march, police intercepted them and detained MLA Lanagte along with scores of his supporters. (KNS)
