Delegations from Sopore, Bandipora call on Altaf Bukhari to inform him about the public issues, grievances

Srinagar, Feb 14 (KNS): Two separate public delegations  —comprised people from different walks of life— from north Kashmir's Sopore and Bandipora on Tuesday met Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari at the party headquarters in Srinagar.

The delegations had come to apprise Apni Party President about public issues, pertaining to their respective areas.

According to a press note issued here, a senior party leader from Sopore Javaid Ahmad Bhat led a public delegation to meet the party president. The delegation was also comprised of some members from the transport union of Sopore, who wanted to bring their issues to the notice of Apni Party President. The delegation apprised Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari about some public issues including the infrastructure deficit, which is causing miseries to the people in Sopore.

Meanwhile, the party's Joint Secretary Abdul Rahim from the Naidkhai area of Bandipora district also led a public delegation from his area to visit Apni Party president. The delegation especially complained about the lack of infrastructure at the local Govt hospital and irrigation and flood control departments.

"Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari gave a patient hearing to the visiting party workers and assured them that he will take up the public issues and grievances with the relevant authorities for their quick redressal," the press note said.

On this occasion, prominent party leaders including General Secretary Rafi Ahmed Mir, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi, District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor, Provincial President for the party's Women Wing Dilshada Shaheen, General Secretary of ST wing Khalid Badana and others were present.(KNS)
