Srinagar, May 17 (KNS): Employees Joint Action Committee has supported the “lockout” call by the clerical association of the state to press for their demands.
In a statement to KNS, EJAC spokesman said that a meeting was convened under the chair of EJAC President Abdul Qayoom Wani to discuss issues of employees, especially the pay anomaly issue of clerical staff working in all departments and displeasure was expressed on the fact that the ex-government as well as the present government had accepted in principle and had promised that the pay anomaly issue shall be resolved.
Wani expressing full solidarity with the clerical staff said that the clerical staff is the backbone of all government departments and are always busy in resolving the matters of public and the employees all the time.
“This is unfortunate that the genuine problems of clerks especially the anomaly in pre-revised grade of 6500-10500 is still unsolved which has caused great embarrassment to them which is intolerable under all circumstances.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
Wani said the lock out call of 19th May given by Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association was justified and supported it fully.
He made it clear to state government that in case the pay anomaly of clerical staff is not removed immediately the EJAC shall fight with the shoulder to shoulder with full vigor and the responsibility shall squarely lie on government.
Wani has assured the Association President Mohammad Sultan Mir, Chief Patron Farhat Trali, General Secretary Malik Mohammad Farooq, Vice President Jeelani Naik and other leaders that EJAC is ready to support this struggle at all levels and won’t remain silent till pay anomaly and other issues are resolved.
