Decentralization of COVID-19 patients care at Panchayat Level Highly appreciable : Sadhotra

Srinagar,20 May (KNS): Ajay Kumar Sadhotra Senior Leader Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and Former Minister has highly appreciated the decision of the Jammu and Kashmir Government to decentralize COVID-19 Patients Care at the Panchayat level. It will decrease the pressure on Government Medical College Jammu and other dedicated COVID-19 Patients Care Hospitals.

This decision needs to be implemented in letter and spirit and in a time-bound manner and the Responsible Officer for implementation be made accountable. It may not become mere Govt’s hollow announcement and may not meet the fate of “Tika Utsav” of the Prime Minister of India.
In a press statement issued here to Kashmir news service (KNS), Sadhotra reiterated his demand of opening COVID-19 Care Centres of 10-15 beds along with oxygen cylinders at Primary Health Care Centre Level and also a Patient Care and Monitoring Control room at every Primary Health Care Centre in the State as COVID-19 pandemic is fast spreading in the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

He also emphasized the need of mass testing, tracing and required treatment. After the holy Kumbh Mela at Haridwar, this pandemic has reached almost every village of Jammu and Kashmir. Microbiological Laboratories for RT-PCR Test at Block Level is also the need of the hour to break the chain of the pandemic.
Expressing his serious concern over the COVID-19 fatalities in 
Jammu and Kashmir also. He demanded an audit of COVID -19 dead patients to ascertain the reasons of a spike in death and also responsibility be fixed.
Sadhotra also demanded the constitution of high level 
Committee of Senior Doctors to ascertain the reasons of a spike in COVID-19 patients deaths on priority, at an earliest(KNS)
