Stresses on timely disposal of government sponsored cases

Srinagar, July 5:(KNS)    District Dev Commissioner Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi U Din Bhat (IAS) chaired
District Level Review Committee Meeting (DLRC) to review the performance of Banks and
Line Departments for the Financial Year/Quarter 4 ended March 31, 2021 under Annual Credit
Plan.


The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Lead District Manager, DDM NABARD,
District Officers of Line Departments, Cluster Head JK Bank, district coordinators of other
banks and other officials from the district administration.
Lead District Manager Arshad Qadri informed the house that deposits of Banks stood at Rs.
2069.65 Cr as on 31.03.2021 witnessing growth of 13.68% over March 2020, while as Advances
stood at Rs.1591.34 Cr as on 31.03.2021 witnessing growth of 15.70% over March 2020. The
Credit Deposit Ratio of the district stood at 76.89% which was quite above National Bench Mark
of 60%. It was also revealed that under District Annual Credit Plan for 2020-21 of Rs.1464.40
Cr, Banks have disbursed Rs.980.01 Cr to 44766 beneficiaries during the financial year ending
March 31, 2021, thereby achieving 67% of ACP target in spite of challenges posed by the
pandemic induced restrictions.


Laying emphasis on extending credit under self-employment generating schemes, DDC urged
the participants to aggressively implement government sponsored schemes likes PMEGP, REGP,
PM SVANidhi, NRLM, NULM & PMAY to generate self-employment opportunities in the
district.
DDC while reviewing sector wise achievements, advised Banks to improve credit dispensations
in Agriculture, MSME, housing and education sectors. DDC also directed
Agriculture/Horticulture Departments to sponsor cases properly & aggressively under KCC to
ensure 100% farmers are covered earnestly.
Notably, the meeting was informed that for the period under review, achievement under Priority
Sector was Rs.795.38 Cr representing 58% of ACP while as under Non-priority sector it was Rs.
184.62 Cr, being 84% of ACP, adding that under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan 15821 cases
under KCC crop and 5762 cases under KCC AH&F had been sanctioned during the year under
review. During the same period 13947 PMSBY, 6383 PMJJBY and 787 APY registrations had
been done in the district.
The forum agreed to adopt two villages for 100% digitization, and also stressed upon taking
financial literacy of the district to another level.
