Jammu, Oct 06 (KNS): Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army's Northern Command, on Tuesday visited the border district of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir to review the security scenario and operational preparedness, the Army said.
During his visit to the Kalakot and Rajouri sectors, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on key operational aspects, including vigilance, training, synergy and innovative practices adopted to maintain a dominant posture for robust security along the Line of Control and in the hinterland, the Udhampur-based Northern Command said in a post on X as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Interacting with the troops, the Army Commander commended their professionalism and devotion to duty. He emphasised the need for troops to remain resolute, vigilant and fully prepared to thwart any misadventure by the adversary, the Army added.
The visit comes amid continued infiltration attempts and ceasefire violations along the LoC. (KNS)
