DDC election:Father, Son contesting against each other on Magam Handwara seat

Handwara, Nov 26(KNS): As District Development election (DDC) is days away, Father and Son would contest DDC elections against each other for Magam, Handwara Territorial seat.

Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said that Son and Father are contesting for Magam seat and filed their nomination today at ADC office Handwara.

Taking to reporters Ghulam Mohiuddin Shiekh said that his aim to contest election is only for development of the area." we have witnessed what political parties did in last 70 year's," he said.

On being asked that your were holding a key role in BJP party earlier, he said that he has nothing to do With BJP." i am contesting this election as independent candidate," he told KNS.

However, his son Faisal Mohid ud din who is also contesting on the same seat said that he will end the corruption in the area and appealed the youth to cast the vote in his favour to end the corruption.

Notably, Two cousins Mir Sulieman and BJP's Ghulam Mohammad Mir are also contesting on Rajwar Territorial seat (KNS)
