Srinagar December 16:(KNS) Senior political worker and District Development Council (DDC) contesting candidate (independent) from Kund Block district Kulgam Gul Mohammad Tantray along with dozens of his associates on Wednesday joined Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.
Those who joined the Apni Party alongwith Tantray included: Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Mohammad Abdullah Itoo, Abdul Rashid Bhat, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Mohammad Shafi Mirasi, Bashir Ahmad Ganaie, Mohammad Qasim Mir, Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Aaqib Hussain Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmad Jagal, Abdul Rahman Pandit, Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh, Noor Hussain Bakerwal, Khurshid Ahmad Rather, Mohammad Assif Wani, Gull Mohammad Bhat, Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Danish Majeed Ganaie , Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Abdul Hamid Bhat,Firdous Ahmad Khan, Aamir Hussain Naik and Muzafar Hussain Naik.
Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari welcomed the new entrants into the Party fold and the joining ceremony took place in presence of the Party Vice President Zafar Manhas, Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi and District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh.
At this occasion the new entrants avowed that they will work indefatigably for strengthening of the Party at the grassroots level and extend full cooperation to the Party leadership so as to get the issues of the people resolved in their respective areas.
Speaking on this occasion, Gul Mohammad Tantray observed that the vision and pragmatic agenda of the Apni Party convinced him and his associates to join the Party and use this political platform for the welfare of people at the grassroots level.
Tantray said that the performance of Apni Party leadership especially its President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari during his stint in the previous elected government has left indelible marks on the minds of socio-political activists who aspire to dedicate themselves to the empowerment of common people.
He pledged to put into his efforts to strengthen the party on the ground and further, it's socio-economic and political activities so as to address the sufferings of the people in his area.
Addressing the ceremony, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari President of the party said that with the joining of Gul Mohammad Tantray the party cadre in the district Kulgam will get a boost which will ultimately result into mitigation of miseries of the people and will also, pave way for the holistic development in the Kulgam district.
