DDC chairperson Ganderbal chairs public outreach program at Shuhama

Srinagar, Dec 18 (KNS): District Development Council chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq on Saturday chaired a mega public outreach programme at Shuhama area of Ganderbal. 

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), locals of adjoining villages of the area participated enthusiastically in the programme and apprised the chair about various developmental needs and issues faced by people in these villages.

“Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals of adjoining villages of Hadura, Bakura, Buserbugh, Alastang Shuhama raised various issues including road connectivity from Shuhama to Degnibal, Nayabat, Fire Service, upgradation of NTPHC Shuhama, upgradation of water supply, electricity, roads, Sports field and other needs of public importance,” reads the statement.

It reads that Nuzhat Ishfaq patiently listened to all the issues and demands put forth by the PRIs and local representatives and said that the purpose of conducting the programme was to reach out to the doorsteps of public and listen to their grievances and issues, besides ensuring onspot redressal of possible grievances.

She, as per the statement, gave onspot directions to the officers and officials for timely redressal of grievances, besides several issues were also redressed onspot.

The statement reads that ADDC Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar assured the locals that the issues raised would be executed without prolonging the processes which are under the jurisdiction of district administration and rest would be taken up with the concerned higher authorities.

“Among others, the program was attended by the ADDC Ganderbal, CPO, ACR, ACP, GM, DIC Ganderbal, Executive Engineer R&B, ARTO and other district officers,” it reads. (KNS)
