Qualitative and Efficient Healthcare System our Top Most Priority terms Safeena Beigh

Srinagar, May 25 (KNS): District Development Council Chairperson Baramulla Safeena Beigh today called on Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Atal Dullo during which she appraised him regarding several issues pertaining to the health sector.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), at the outset, the Chairperson presented a brief profile of the health scenario in district Baramulla wherein she highlighted several critical issues that have emerged due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Safeena Beigh demanded the completion of a building that is being constructed in the Wagoora area under a centrally sponsored SAGY scheme. She said that the issue creates a lot of inconvenience in terms of healthcare infrastructure in the area. The other issues which were taken up include advanced endoscopy system, fibroscan for liver diseases, endoscopic ultrasound and allied accessories, portable GI endoscopic system among other important issues.

The Chairperson said that a better and qualitative healthcare system has been one of the topmost priority of the present dispensation adding that every possible initiative shall be taken to upgrade health infrastructure which is the need of the hour at this critical juncture. She also invited the Financial Commissioner to visit to Baramulla in order to take a holistic review of the healthcare system.

The Financial Commissioner gave a patient hearing of all the issues and demands and assured that all the genuine issues shall be taken on priority for their immediate redressal.

Meanwhile, Safeena Beigh also appraised the issue of ASHA workers and appealed to fulfil their genuine demands in the best interest of the general public. She nominated DDC Member Tujjar Shareef Muzaffar Ahmad Dar to formally talk to aggrieved ASHA workers so that their grievances shall be  projected before the appellate authority for a logical conclusion.(KNS)
