BARAMULLA, APRIL 22: In view of the sharp rise in Covid-19 positive cases from past few days, the Chairperson District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safina Beigh has appealed to the people to follow all the Covid-19 related SOPs and guidelines more especially using face masks and maintaining social distancing so that as any kind of major exigency is averted.

The DDC Chairperson said that there is an urgency to follow all the Covid-19 mitigation measures in letter and spirit as the situation is deteriorating day by day.

She appealed to the people to come forward and get vaccinated at their stipulated times and urged upon various stakeholders of the society to cooperate with the administration at this critical juncture.

Meanwhile, Safina Beigh has written an official communique to the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and Chairman Municipal Council Baramulla wherein she requested to effectively utilize the services of PRIs including Sarpanchs, Panchs and MC Ward members who can educate the people regarding the need and importance of following SOPs and advisories.(KNS)
