Jammu, Nov 23 (KNS) : Nuzhat Ishfaq, Chairperson, District Development Council, Ganderbal accompanied by former Legislator, Ishfaq Jabbar on Tuesday met Lt Governor Manoj Sinha here at Raj Bhavan Jammu and discussed with him the regularisation of daily wage workers and other casual labourers working in different government departments.
In a statement issued, the duo informed the Lt- Governor about issues of regularisation of GRS working in rural development department who are without salary from last eight months, daily wagers and workers working in Ranbir Bagh Animal Husbandary department, daily wagers working in Forest department were also discussed.
The duo said concerns of daily wagers, consolidated workers engaged in the Jal Shakti, PDD and other departments were also discussed and he assured them that the issues would be solved at the earliest by the Lt-Governor,” said the duo.
Both the leaders raised the issue of labourers working in Nallah Sindh with the LG. They expressed their concern over the problems faced by the thousands of people who relied and were dependent on the Nallah Sindh to earn a livelihood.
Various development issues pertaining to Ganderbal district were also discussed.
They discussed certain impediments which were delaying the implementation of several important development schemes in Ganderbal district.
The duo raised the issue of CUK, HEP-II, Pandach-Beehama Road Widening, District Hospital Ganderbal, beautification and development of Manasbal tourist destination, Lift irrigation schemes, main Bus Adda Ganderbal, Drugging and remodeling of Tullamulla- Shadipora Nallah, Transport facilities within and outside district especially to students, Bridges, Fire Service stations, roads, upgradation of sports fields, upgrdation and renovation of parks and nallah sindh, construction of amusement park besides other issues demands and languish projects.
The Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to the demands put forth by the duo and assured appropriate redressal of the genuine issues and demands.(KNS)
