DC Srinagar oversees arrangements for Tulip Festival

Srinagar 30 March (KNS): Deputy commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited Tulip Garden to oversee arrangements for upcoming Tulip Festival which starts on 03.03.2021. The Tulip festival will involve a kaleidoscope of events aimed at presenting Srinagar as a Tourist destination. 

During the spot review DC reviewed Traffic movement Plan, arrangements at the venue by Tourism and Floriculture Departments, security plan, adherence to Covid protocol, etc. It was decided to have separate entrance and exit plan for visitors during the Festival days. Movement plan within the Tulip garden was also finalised. CMO Srinagar was told to ensure compliance to Covid appropriate behaviour in light of protocol set up by the Government. 


Deputy commissioner was joined by SSP Srinagar Shri Sandeep Chaudhary, Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Rather, Director Tourism Shri Ghulam Nabi Itoo, Director Floriculture Farooq Ahmed Rather, SSP Traffic Srinagar Javed Koul and officers from other line departments. 


Pertinent to mention that Hon’ble Prime Minister had a message for Tourists from across the country to visit and have a glimpse of mesmerising Tulip Gardens of Srinagar in Kashmir.(KNS)
