KUPWARA, MAY 28 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today visited various panchayats of block Hayhama and inspected the establishment of Covid Care Centres in these panchayats. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Education Officer Kupwara and other concerned officers. 

The Deputy Commissioner inspected various Covid Care Centres established at the panchayat level including Sulkoot, Halmatpora and other places of the Hayhama block. 

The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the PRIs to ensure smooth functioning of the Covid Care Centre in their jurisdiction so that the people who don’t have proper space for self-isolation at home will be benefitted.

The Deputy Commissioner also inspected 30 bedded Covid Centre at NTPHC Gonipora and took stock of the health care facilities provided by the hospital administration. 

Talking to media persons, the Deputy Commissioner said that healthcare facilities are being augmented to tackle the Covid situation in the district and major improvements are expected in the coming days in this regard. 

On the way, the Deputy Commissioner inspected 10 MVA receiving station Hayhama. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned engineers for its timely completion so that the people of the Hayhama block would be benefitted in general.(KNS)
