Budgam, March 07 (KNS): The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, S F Hamid (IAS) today visited shrine of Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA) to take on spot assessment of arrangements for the Shab-e Baraat festival.
During visit, the DC took the department-wise assessment of arrangements and directed the concerned to ensure that all the arrangements including functioning of street lights, cleanliness of the Shrine premises and surroundings, installation of additional mobile toilet facilities and proper sanitation is maintained on the occasion.
He directed PHE and PDD departments to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply to the town and vicinity areas though out auspicious night.
The EO of Municipality Char-e-Sharief was directed to maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness and regular lifting of garbage from the Shrine area.
He instructed concerned to ensure all arrangements made on the occasion are functional for the hassle-free stay of devotees.
Meanwhile, the DC also took stock of ongoing developmental works and emphasized that pace of execution be expedited for timely completion of all projects.
On the occasion, various local delegation and Intizamia of Shrine called on DC and raised their demands with him.
After giving patient hearing to them the DC assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for early redresall. (KNS)
