Srinagar, Oct 15 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Yasha Mudgal has directed PHE, R&B, and PDD departments to ensure uninterrupted drinking water and power supply in Shia dominated areas in view of the Muharam processions.
The Deputy Commissioner was on a day long visit to various Shia localities of the district to take stock of the arrangements and interact with the public personally. According to KNS Reporter, Mudgal along with joint Director Planing A.G.Malik and other concerned officers visited Ahamdpora, Hanjipora, Goom, and Mirgund areas and interacted with the public.
During her visit, she sanctioned solar lights for Ahamdpora, Hanjiveera Payeen And Bala and Goom Imam Bhadas, besides directing R&B Executive Engineer to lay dust on the Ahamdpora Hanjiveera stretch so that comemoraters do not face any inconvenience during the grand procession when they reenact the Karbalah Carnage.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe issued instructions to Science and Technology department for installing street lights in these areas. The Deputy Commissioner also asked PHE department to install water storage tanks near Imam Bhadas besides ensuring an uninterrupted water supply in the areas.
