DC B'la Interacts with Various Shia Delegations, Listens their issues regarding upcoming Muharram-ul-Harram

 
Baramulla, July 29 (KNS) : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today held an interaction with various Shia Associations and representatives of the community here at DC Office meeting Hall  to discuss arrangements being put in place for ensuing Muharram-ul-Haram 2022.

On the occasion,  the delegations appraised DC with regard to various issues and demands for smooth conduct of mourning processions in the auspicious month of Muharram ul Haraam. 

A threadbare discussion was also held on arrangements like electricity, water supply, roads, ration, sanitation, Street lighting and medicare facilities.

After listening the demands and issues of the community, The DC directed the PDD authorities to ensure that high mast lights, halogen bulbs and LEDs are in place at all important locations besides that street lights are fully functional. She also called for immediate repairment of the inner links wherever necessary. 

The PHE authorities were also directed to ensure that water tanks are made available at identified locations besides uninterrupted supply of drinking water is also ensured during these auspicious days.

Similarly, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department was also instructed to ensure timely, adequate and prompt supply & distribution of ration.  

It was given out that the sanitation drive shall be carried out by municipal committees at the identified locations.

Moreover, the DC emphasized upon strict adherence to Covid Appropriate Behaviour during Muharram-ul-Harram besides aggressive sampling at Imambadas. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla,  Zahoor Ahmad Raina,  Senior Superintendent of Police,  Rayees Mohammad Bhat,  Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan,  Syed Faheem besides other functionaries of the concerned departments were present on the occasion. (KNS)
