Baramulla, May 25 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar accompanied by concerned functionaries today paid inspection of several COVID-19 Vaccine Centres where he took first hand appraisal of the vaccination process.

It is worth here to mention that district administration has established several vaccination centres throughout the district as part of the special vaccination drive under which street vendors, salesmen, transporters, media persons among other eligible beneficiaries having age between 18-45 years have been vaccinated. All the designated centres were established in accessible destinations so that the beneficiaries could easily approach these centres and get vaccinated.

During inspection, the DC took review of various aspects related with the vaccination programme wherein he emphasized upon the concerned functionaries to ensure that all the eligible and targeted beneficiaries are covered in the programme. He also directed to work in coordination and cohesion so that the process is smoothly executed.

Meanwhile, the DC said that vaccination is the only viable option to get rid from this pandemic apart from following COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines. He urged upon the people to come forward at their stipulated time and don't heed to the rumours that are being spread by some miscreants. Moreover, DC stressed upon various officers to work towards the elimination of all apprehensions and misconceptions that have developed among the masses.(KNS)
