DC Anantnag conducts extensive tour of heritage sites, reviews facilities

 ANANTNAG, Mar 07 (KNS) : In a move to reinforce grassroots connectivity and heritage conservation, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, conducted an extensive visit to several key religious and historical sites in the district on Saturday.

 
The administrative tour covered the iconic Martand Sun Temple, the revered Gurdwara Mattan Sahib, and the shrine of Sakhi Zainuddin Wali at Aishmuqam. During the visit, the DC took stock of the existing civic amenities and assessed the facilities available for the large number of pilgrims and devotees visiting these sites.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the twin objectives of preserving the rich cultural and religious heritage of these ancient sites while simultaneously upgrading public infrastructure to enhance the visitor experience.
 
The inspection tour was conducted in the presence of a team of senior officers, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Muzammil Maqbool; Tehsildar Mattan; Tehsildar Pahalgam; the Executive Engineer of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, Pahalgam; and the Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee Aishmuqam.
