Sopore, Aug 02 (KNS): A day before KNS carried a news item regarding students alleging teachers at Sopore school of forcing them to work as labourers, head mistress attached.
Taking strong cognizance of the incident, authorities on Tuesday attached head mistress of Middle school Chankhan after few students staged a protest alleging school teachers of forcing them to work as labourers.
Zonal Educational Officer (ZEO) Sopore, Abdul Salaam told KNS, that the head mistress of the said school has been attached to the High School Amargrah.
Furthermore she has been asked to submit a report to a committee within three days positively, he said.
Earlier, students alleged that the teachers not only force them to do physical labour but also warn them of dire consequences in case parents are informed about this malpractice, upon which, ZEO concerned said if anyone is found guilty stern action will be taken by the department.(KNS)
