Darul Khair pays rich tributes to late Muhammad Shafi Khan

Srinagar, Apr 22 (KNS): Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil Srinagar has paid rich tribute to its active, dynamic and sincere member Muhammad Shafi Khan Sahib who passed away on Wednesday saying the deceased played a selfless role in taking forward the philanthropic and relief work of the organisation through its platform. 

Under the leadership of Darul Khair's incarcerated patron Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, late Muhammad Shafi Khan Sahib worked as a volunteer in taking the relief and rehabilitation work and programmes of Darul Khair to their logical conclusion. He was instrumental in generating donations for Darul Khair. 

Late Muhammad Shafi Khan Sahib also played a crucial role in the rehabilitation of the poor and severely affected people during the 2014 floods in Kashmir, under the Akh Akis programme initiated by the Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir. Under this initiative, several houses were constructed besides many poor families were rehabilitated. 

Terming the demise of Muhammad Shafi Khan Sahib as a Milli and social loss, Darul Khair on behalf of the organisation especially ita incarcerated patron Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family particularly the deceased's wife, children and siblings; saying the organisation is with them at this hour of grief. Darul Khair also prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul.(KNS)
