Uri June 01 (KNS): On the instructions of the Patron of Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil and Mirwaiz of Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, a team from Darul Khair today visited the border town of Uri in the first phase of its relief mission. The team delivered essential relief kits to over 52 households affected by the recent conflict situation in the region — including to some members of the Kashmiri Hindu community.
The distribution took place in the presence of local ulema, imams, and members of civil society, including noted social and civil activist Mohammad Shafi Malik, who expressed gratitude to the Mirwaiz for remembering and reaching out to the people in this hour of need and hardship.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The delegation from Darul Khair included Haji Altaf Shah, Syed ur Rehman Shams, Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi and others, who ensured that the relief reached the deserving families efficiently and respectfully.
As earlier planned, the team will also visit the Poonch region before the auspicious occasion of Eid to deliver relief supplies to affected families there.
It is worth mentioning that since its inception, Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil has consistently worked—through the generous financial and in-kind support of its well-wishers—to assist and rehabilitate people affected by natural and man-made disasters, without any discrimination of religion or community.(KNS)
