Srinagar, Aug 05 (KNS): Police on Friday foiled the Dargah chalo march of Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and arrested him outside of his Nigeen residence.
As per the statement issued to KNS, the spokesman of the amalgam said that “Police had blocked the entrance of the lane leading to office-cum-residence of Mirwaiz. As soon as Mirwaiz tried to march towards Hazratbal at around 2.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPM, police stopped him.”
Spokesman said that it was a peaceful protest against the civilian killings in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) chairman condemned the action of authorities.
Pertinently, the separatist leadership has called for ‘Dargah Chalo’ today as a protest against civilian killings in Kashmir. (KNS)
