Srinagar July 23 (KNS): Asking the government to revoke its Darbar move decision henceforth, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Friday said the implications of such a decision are going to be troublesome and will have far reaching consequences.

Kadfeen in a statement has said that at a time when the business community in both Jammu as well as in Srinagar was crumbling due to three consecutive lockdowns, the cancellation of Darbar move is going to prove ruthlessly lethal and that such short-sighted approach of the BJP government is going to make things worse.

 Kadfeen said that in the last three years, the business fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir has lost more than 40,000 crores. “It means 1.5 crore losses everyday. Cancellation of Darbar Move will catalyse joblessness in an already cash starved state. Darbar Move has been paving the way for the intermixing of cultures, identities and regions. By nullifying such an age-old practice, the government has not only left the economy in doldrums but has also created a wedge between the two regions that have shared the bonds of trust, harmony and togetherness,@ Kadfeen said.(KNS)
