Srinagar, Jan 21 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir leader and Muslim conference chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar, Mahzi Azadi Leader Muhammad Iqbal Mir, International forum for justice chairman Muhammad Ahsan Untoo and Young Men’s league Chairman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi Thursday paid a glowing tribute to martyrs of Gaw Kadal on their 26th death anniversary being observed on January 21.
Leaders said over 53 innocent people were killed by the troops in Gaw Kadal area of Srinagar on January 21 in 1990.
The incident had occurred after the troops had opened indiscriminate fire on peaceful demonstrators who were protesting against the molestation of several women by troops, and dozens of years has been spend but the families of these martyrs has not yet prevail justice from Indian courts and it is impossible to these victim families to get justice from Indian courts.
Leaders said martyrs of Kashmir has sacrifices their lives for a sacred cause Right to self determination and our martyrs has center staged k issue at global level; on this occasion people raise slogans in favor of freedom and martyrs.
A delegation of Hurriyat Conference JK which include International forum for justice chairman Muhammad Ahsan Untoo and Young Men’s league Chairman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi along with Shakeel-u-Rehman Tahoor Sidiqi Rouf Aasmi visited Gaw Kadal to show solidarity with the massacre victims On the occasion Muhammad Ahsan Untoo told I had watching filing petition before the SHRC Srinagar the SHRC division bench conduct inquiry headed by SP SHRC the investigation team has been identified 36 martyrs and 62 injured identified yet Untoo appealed the eye witness to come forward and help so that killers will be punished Imtiyaz Reshi on the occasion said freedom struglle has entered in to final stage and our unity will definitely defeat the oppressor.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Hurriyat Conference JK leader and Muslim conference chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar, Mahaz-e-Azadi Leader Muhammad Iqbal Mir, International forum for justice chairman Muhammad Ahsan Untoo and Young Men’s league Chairman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi in their joint statement has paid rich tributes to the martyrs militant in Pulwama and said sacrifices offered by our martyrs will not allowed to go in vein and there will be no compromise till to achive our basic goal Right To Self Determination.
They strongly condemned indiscriminate fire on peaceful demonstrators who were protesting and said killing have become a routine in Kashmir Indian government has given a free hand to armed forces to kill innocent people of Kashmir.
