Langate, Feb 21 (KNS): Resident of Dalgate Mohalla in Langate area are up in arms against Power Development Department (PDD) as it has failed to make transformer functional installed in the village few weeks back.
The villagers told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that few weeks ago they got 100 KV transformer to overcome low power voltage, however, it has not been made functional yet, due to which entire Mohalla is reeling under darkness.
They also said that earlier they were getting electricity from another transformer, from where they have been disconnected after new transformer was installed.
“But despite passing of over a week, power supply to the area has not been restored and the department is not paying any attention,” they said.
When contacted, concerned JEE said that he will look into the matter and will ensure transformer is made functional at an earliest. (KNS)
