DAK demands NEET center at Srinagar

Urges CM to intervene

Srinagar, Nov 01 (KNS): President, Doctors Association Kashmir(DAK) Dr Suhail Naik showed disappointment over the absence of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET)Center for Post Graduate(PG) Medical test at Srinagar.
“The NEET PG is going to be held all across India on 18th January 2018 and as in past the authorities have failed to get an examination center for Kashmir this year also.”he said.
He further said that the, then President ,DAK Dr G M Mir had raised this issue with the authorities last year who was promised a NEET PG center at Srinagar in 2018 but it’s very distressing that this year also our young aspiring doctors will have to suffer due to the non availability of exam center.
“Our state at Srinagar has been conducting other exams of national level like Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) since long in a fair and uninterrupted manner but it’s regretful that the said exam is not being held at Srinagar for unknown reasons making the candidates to suffer unnecessarily ” he elaborated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Dr Naik further added that the NEET PG examination is being conducted in extreme winter and it has been observed over the years in past that most of the times the roads remain blocked and air traffic is also disrupted and all the aspiring doctors who have to appear for this exam will have to travel to different parts of India which will not only be arduous for them but will also hit the patient care badly as most of the candidates are working in Health and Medical Education department and will not be available at their station.
President DAK, Dr Suhail Naik has urged the Hon’ble Chief Minster ,Ms Mehbooba Mufti to take up the matter with appropriate authorities and make it sure that the center is allotted to Srinagar as well so that candidates don’t suffer. (KNS)
