Srinagar, July 17 (KNS): Strict curfew continued for the 10th day on Sunday in the Kashmir Valley, even as the situation continues to be restive, following protests in Bandipora and Eidgah localities in the Valley on Sunday evening.
Three civilians were injured in Saderkote Bala in Bandipora district and one civilian was injured in Rainawari after clashes in Eidgah in Srinagar on Sunday evening.
A police spokesman on Sunday evening said the overall situation throughout Kashmir valley remained calm. Stray incidents of stone pelting were received from Kunzer in Baramulla, Eidgah in Srinagar and Saderkote Bala in Bandipora.
“Some Policemen CRPF personnel and civilians received injuries in these incidents,” he said.
The unrest continues after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, by forces in Bumdoora village of Kokernag in Anantnag district on July 8 evening.

Meanwhile, Cable television was allowed on Saturday evening after being suspended by the government for a day and all Pakistani news channels and two Indian English news channels were taken off air.
Mobile phones and internet services remained suspended in the Valley, however, only BSNL Broadband and post-paid services are being allowed to operate. Train services also remained suspended.
All schools, colleges and universities in the Valley have been shut down till July 25.
Top Hurriyat leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Shah and others have been either placed under house arrest or taken into preventive custody to restrain them from participating in protests. Separatists have appealed the people to continue the shutdown till today. (KNS)
