Srinagar, May 01 (KNS): After Central University of Kashmir Teachers Association (CUKTA) invited nominations for the Election of Presidium and Executive Council, Dr Ishrat Bashir, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Central University of Kashmir, was elected as President of the association by acclamation on 20 April 2022.
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the nominations were invited for the posts of association’s president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer.
“Dr Anil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, has been elected as Vice President, while Dr Ramjit, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism Studies and Dr Khalid Wasim Hassan, Assistant Professor, Department of Politics and Governance, have been elected as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.”
The statement reads that the election was also conducted for other members of the Executive Council in the 7th General Body meeting of the association on 30 April, and members including
Dr Shahid Rasool, Professor & Dean, School of Media Studies, Dr Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, Professor & Dean, School of Education
Dr Mir Insha Farooq, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies
Dr Ashaq Ahmad Najar, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism Studies, Dr Shabir Ahmad Ahanger, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Dr Mudasir Bhat, Assistant Professor, Department of Law were elected. (KNS)
