Handwara September 29:(KNS) The "Center for Research on public policy" (CRPP) in collaboration with district hospital Handwara held a day long seminar on Wednesday in Handwara at Environmental Hall on Drug Abuse, Rehabilitation and Resocialisation. 

In the seminar, students from various schools, local ulams and many other official from police and civil administration were present. 

A young lawyer, Tahir Majeed were also present at the event. He shed light on different measures to tackle the drug abuse. The local people and administration has to come on same platform to address the drug addiction, he said. 

On the occasion, medical superintendent of district hospital handwara was chief guest and Ghulam Rasool Bandy, Naib Trhsildar Bashir were guest of Honor's. 

The organizer and chairman of the CRPP Advocate Abdul Majid bandy said that, the event was organized to create awareness among youth that not to fall to drugs. 

The program was organized to save our youth generation from drug abuse. advocate Bandy said that the core responsibility lies on parents and society. They have a key role to play to save our youth generation from drug abuse, he added. 

On the occasion the superintendent of District hospital Handwara also said that the DH Handwara will extend its all support to fight drug abuse 

He also urged youth to stay away from drug addiction. 

The locals hailed the efforts CRPP for organizing drug abuse awareness programs.(KNS)
