CRPF trooper injured in Bijbehara grenade attack

Srinagar, Dec 17 (KNS): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personal was injured after militants lobbed Grenade on secruty forces in Bhijbhera near district hospital in South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Thrusday.

Reports reaching to KNS said that militants lobbed grenade on joint forces, in which 01 CRPF personal received splinter injuries.

The injured CRPF trooper was identified as Patil Padmamakar of 40BN CRPF and was evacuated to nearby hospital for treatment.

Soon after the attack officials from CRPF, Army and Police visited the spot and took the stock of the situation.

However the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

Notably the spot was few meters away from the venue of BJP's funtion in Anantnag district where party's National Spokesperson and former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain is scheduled to address the convention. (KNS)
